abdi leaves Metizport
December 1, 2025

Today our former Head Coach, Ahmed “abdi” Abdi, officially leaves Metizport following the expiry of his contract.

The 34-year-old has spent a month in an inactive position in the organisation following the addition of the Counter-Strike team’s new Head Coach, Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak.

We already made an article in October officializing the mutual decision between Metizport and abdi to not continue together in 2026, allowing the Swede to take the next step in his career and explore other opportunities.

Abdi was the last remnant (who had stayed in the roster ever since) of Metizport’s first Swedish Counter-Strike investment back in September 2023. He spent two years and three months in the organisation, leading the CS squad until the beginning of November this year. As of today, he is officially a free agent with no more contractual obligations to Metizport.

We wholeheartedly wish Abdi the best of luck going forward, and hope he can find a new home which will turn out to be a venture as successful as the one in Metizport. With such a long journey together, it’s impossible to pinpoint every great memory we’ve had with the Swede on the go. Therefore we decided to put together a video showcasing his 781 days long run under the green banner, including some of Metizport’s biggest achievements as an organisation – becoming Swedish Champions in 2024 and making it to the Austin Major in 2025.

Once again: Thank you for everything, abdi!
