With everything in place in the CS squad – nawwk, Dragon and vinS bringing some new blood into the team – they’re ready for the first offline event with the new line-up – 100,000 SEK (~$10,460) JOURNEY 2025 in Northern Sweden!
The event in Åre starts tomorrow and features 24 teams from all over Europe. Despite its isolated location, with the easiest route to get to the venue is a night train, several notable teams appear in the list of attendants. Legendary players s1mple and electronic are attending with their BC Game Esports, and we also see Russian BetBoom, European ENCE, MOUZ and NiP’s Academy teams, and of course, Swedish teams Alliance, Johnny Speeds and EYEBALLERS showing up to the LAN.
The teams have been divided into four groups of six, with Metizport set to clash with Inner Circle, Acend, Johnny Speeds, Young Ninjas and mix team “Minkens finest”. Tomorrow will be a busy day, with five matches played per team within the Round-Robin format. The winner of the group heads directly to the Playoffs, while the 2nd and 3rd place has to play a “Knockout game” to decide who makes it to the 8-team final stage on Saturday.
Most of the members in the team are already on their way, with Dragon, Head Coach vinS and Assistant Coach ner0 landing in Stockholm this afternoon to take the night train and link up with the others. MaiL09 and nawwk hopped on the train in Malmö, isak in Göteborg, and in-game leader Jackinho and Metizport’s Sports Director zEVES will complete the squad in Stockholm as well.

The JOURNEY 2025 event is part of Red Bull GIBAWAY, a 350-attendant open LAN event which anyone could purchase tickets for. It will be played inside a Holiday Resort and offer several bonuses beside the Counter-Strike tournament – a waterworld, sauna, gym, two-course dinner and many other activities.
Metizport’s first match will be tomorrow at 12:00 CET, with Young Ninjas as our first opponent. Other Metizport staff will also be present at the event, namely CEO Arjan and Commercial Director Herman.
After JOURNEY 2025 the crew will head back to Stockholm and get some rest before Svenska Cupen 2025 starts on November 12, where we’ll be looking to defend our title as the best Counter-Strike team in Sweden.
