Well, that didn’t go according to plan…

We’re out of DraculaN #2 in Bucharest after two straight losses on the first day.

The first day of €9,600 DraculaN #2, a LAN tournament in Romania’s capital with many notable teams, saw Metizport go up against Romanian favorites Nexus Gaming in the opening game. The best-of-three series started on the map of Ancient, and Metizport started off strong with an 8-4 lead in the first half. On the second half, despite a few rounds clinched by the opponents, Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson’s squad managed to string together 12 rounds, putting the team on matchpoint.

However, from there they were unable to conclude the match, as the Romanians mounted a comeback and tied the score at 12-12 to take the match to overtime, an overtime that eventually slipped out of Metizport’s hands as the match ended 13-16.

On the second map, Nuke, we witnessed another great start for our Counter-Strike crew – another 8-4 lead in halftime. Despite this, they were unable to run away with the map to equalize the score, with Nexus coming back from a 4-9 deficit and eventually winning the map to secure the series in a 2-0 fashion.

Metizport had another chance in the Lower Bracket where they, perhaps a bit unluckily, faced off against the highest ranked team in the entire tournament – FlyQuest from Australia. With both maps looking like they could initially go Metizport’s way , it all eventually turned around and slipped through their fingers on both Overpass and Dust2.

Jackinho’s first LAN with the team was not a success

With the defeat against the Australians, we were knocked out of the tournament on the first day. We are sorry to everyone who cheered for us – we wish we could have put on a better show for you. But don’t worry, we’re going back home to lick our wounds for a few days, and then it’s time to head out again across the Atlantic sea! We’re attending Frag Blocktober 2025 in Philadelphia, USA, an offline tournament of similar size to DraculaN, but featuring teams from both North and South America as well as Europe!

We hope to have your support there as well.
