pakesZ appointed as Metizport X Head Coach

Metizport X will have help from 30-year-old Hungarian Patrik “pakesZ” Rozsos, former Revenant coach and General Manager, in the upcoming season.

The work towards finding a coach for Metizport began already last year in the end of December, when Team Manager Jakob “DEFENSE” Jansson with the assistance of Sports Director Morten “zEVES” Vollan Christensen began the process of going through applications that had been raining in after Metizport made a post about the open position.

Right before the Christmas break, Metizport sat down with some of the more interesting applicants, and for the new year two prospects had been chosen to start the tryout period with the team.

However as 2025 awoke, a new prospect arose internally and almost immediately found footing together with the young squad, having previously worked together with one of the players and found his way toward the position that way.

In Metizport we decided to trust our intuition – and today, two months later, we’re happy we did. This newly found prospect turned out to be pakesZ, an ambitious and humble Hungarian with valuable experience which aligned perfectly with what we were looking for.

It was a bit of a shift for the team – not only having to communicate in English outside matches but also to have a coach by their side in general – but the progress we’ve seen in the past eight weeks has been very clear, and as Metizport X continues to tread the international tournament field, repeatedly receiving invites to bigger, more prestigious tournaments (and having decided to leave the national scene behind and opt out of playing Norwegian GoodGame-ligaen) the timing of this invaluable collaboration couldn’t be better.

We’re very happy to announce Patrik has signed with us until summer, and we sincerely believe he will be a great asset to the Swedish-Norwegian line-up in their future endeavours under our banner.

Patrik had this to say about the signing:

“I’m really glad to officially be a part of Metizport. Over the past month, we’ve made some great progress on both individual and team level which is noticeable in our games this year – but there’s definitely more we can do and we will keep pushing for improvements along the way. I want to thank Morten and Jakob for this fantastic opportunity and trust, couldn’t wish for any better place to start off this year. We have a good plan to elevate the level of the team to a much higher level and close the gap between the main team and the academy team. Fortunately we have very talented players who are eager to improve day by day, making this progress way more smooth. I’m excited about what we can achieve together, let’s get going!”

pakesZ has already been on the official line-up of Metizport X for four different tournaments since early January. Their next tournament match together – with the exception of ESEA Main –  will be in European Pro League Season 25 on Saturday.
