It was a real back-and-forth battle between the two finalists of the $7,000 tournament, OG and Metizport Epicbet. Both teams had come from 2-1 victories in the semifinals earlier in the day, and then clashed in the final best-of-three series of the tournament on the Thursday evening. The maps ended up being Inferno, OG’s map pick, Ancient, our map pick, and then finally Nuke as a Decider.
On the first map of Inferno, it looked like it would be an incredibly grim start of the Grand Finals run for Metizport Epicbet. Finishing the first half 3-9, only able to string together three rounds on the defending side, the opponents won the pistol round in the second half as well, quickly turning the score to 3-12. However, it was at this matchpoint that everything turned – David “forsyy” Bílý and Maciej “F1KU” Miklas stepped up tremendously with 1.51 and 1.49 ratings and together with the remaining teammates, Metizport Epicbet strung together a complete nine-round comeback and equalized the score to 12-12, securing overtime. Then it was only a matter of starting from scratch and taking a deep breath – In-game Leader Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz did exactly that, and led the team to a close but equally confident 16-14 win on the first map, cementing one of the more legendary comebacks in Metizport’s history in the title.

F1KU was a real pebble in the shoe for OG on Inferno
On Ancient, even though it was our own map pick, the team truly struggled to find any footing in the match. Another 9-3 halftime score for OG was too much this time around, and even though Head Coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak managed to rally his men enough to scramble together 4 rounds on the defending side, it wasn’t enough to hold the opponents back – OG ran off with the map with a 13-7 score.
It all came down to the Decider map of Nuke, where Metizport Epicbet had a slightly higher win rate than OG the past matches. However, despite starting off on the easier side of the map – the CT side – stanislaw and co. only had the chance to achieve five rounds in the first half, going into the harder T-side with a deficit. This, however, didn’t seem to be a massive problem, and with a won pistol round as well as some incredible individual performances from stanislaw (who had had a quite rough series so far in the first two maps) the squad managed to overrun OG and win the map 13-11. The 32-year-old Canadian clutched out a seemingly impossible one versus five situation at the 8-8 mark, as well as dealing the finishing blow at the 12-11 mark, winning a one versus four afterplant situation and ending the game on an incredible high.

“…kind of feels like we robbed OG with these hero rounds! That was a tough game, GG’s! Proud of the team!”
– stanislaw on Twitter after the victory.
The gold trophy in this tournament awards Metizport $4,000 and a spot in the Regional Finals later this year, where we’ll have a chance of clinching a spot in $300,000 ESL Pro League S25 in Saudi Arabia next year. It is our fifth trophy of 2026 and the first gold of the fall season as well as with Liam “MaiL09” Tügel back in the roster.
Now a few days of rest await the team before it’s time to get back on the server again next week for $25,000 Exort Fiesta Series 1 starting on August 27th, where we have received a direct invite to the Playoffs Stage.
