Third time’s the charm – “The latest and greatest from Metizport”
April 24, 2026

Spring is officially here, and in Metizport we continue gearing up for an exciting 2026 and road ahead. With developments in each corner of the organization, we take a look at the most notable happenings on board the ship.

New partner! Komplett.no and Metizport enter strategic partnership!

On March 25, while the team was in Stockholm for ROG Journey Spring 2026, we announced our newest partnership – Komplett.no, Norway’s leading online store for technology and gaming!

“Bringing Komplett on board is a recognition of the work we have put in over time. Together, we can create new opportunities for both players and the broader Norwegian esports ecosystem. We have many exciting plans that we look forward to presenting.”

-Arjan, Metizport’s CEO.

The partnership between Metizport and Komplett.no involves a broad initiative, with everything from exclusive product launches and events to content production and community activities. Metizport and Komplett.no will be visible together at tournaments, in digital channels, and through activities aimed at the Norwegian gaming community.

Counter-Strike and the first gold medal of 2026

Last week we secured this year’s first gold by winning European Pro League, walking home with $11,000 in prize money. Metizport’s Counter-Strike team, now led by newly signed Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz, went undefeated through the Playoffs bracket and finished the job in the Grand Final by winning against ARCRED 3-1. The first map of the four-map brawl was not a sight for sore eyes, as the opponents swept us aside 13-5 on their map pick. On the second map of Nuke, our boys were down 4-8 in half-time and stood before a dire situation in the pistol round as Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora and Isak “isak” Fahlén found themselves in a 2v4 retake situation. However, they managed to miraculously clutch it out and turn the ship around completely, winning the map 13-9.

With newfound energy and a combined effort from everyone in the team, including stand-in Maciej “F1KU” Miklas, Metizport left no room for mistakes and secured victories in the remaining two maps – Ancient and Inferno – to crown themselves winners of the tournament. Following second place finishes both at De_Airport Masters in Oslo and in BC Game Masters Season 1 previously, one can only say “third time is the charm”!

Goodbye Jackinho!

First of all, we have said goodbye to Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattson, as he was released from the organization on April 8th. Jack was a great and humble leader and an amazing ambassador for Metizport. As a final thank you, we released a short video with some of our best memories together during his second stint in our colors.

A new captain on the block and the road ahead

Canadian Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz has relocated to Europe and become a permanent member of our Counter-Strike roster, officially taking over the In-game leader position on April 6th. We are happy to have the 32-year-old lead the team going forward and believe his experience is something to build a strong and long-standing roster around. Undoubtedly, Jarguz’s good synergy with our Head Coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak after their time together in Wildcard has been of great benefit – the team’s results the past two weeks have been promising, with the gold in European Pro League standing out the most.

stanislaw found footing in the team immediately

The same day as stanislaw was announced as a permanent member, it was also revealed that Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic has been moved away from the active roster for the time being, as we have some role overlaps in the team that we would like to look further into. As a result, we have been doing trials with various players both in practice and in official matches, for example F1KU stepping in during European Pro League and kRaSnaL joining us for the Qualifiers of Stake Ranked Episode 2.

Furthermore, we have been in discussions with several players in the team about contract extensions, and these discussions have been positive. Regarding Liam “MaiL09” Tügel, we are still in talks with all parties involved around his loan deal. You can read more about the situation in the team here. We hope to release news about more developments soon, but right now things are quiet as we work behind the scenes.

Time for local news!

With the addition of Silje, our Project & Activities Manager, the work towards strengthening the gaming- and esports scene in our local area in Norway carries on stronger than ever. Metizport Moa, our gaming centre in Ålesund municipality, has been a success so far. For example, at the start of the month, in direct connection to the premiere of the Super Mario Galaxy movie, we hosted a Mario Kart tournament where visitors could stop by and challenge our Commercial Director (and Mario Kart professional) Herman before heading over to the cinema in the evening.

Furthermore, last month on International Women’s Day, we welcomed all women to three hours of free gaming, an initiative in pursuit of bringing more women into the world that we love so much. We have also hosted tournaments in CS2 & Fortnite, and we offer a variety of passes for our visitors. We want everyone to feel welcome – the doors to Metizport Moa are open every day of the week!

Brawl Stars

Our Brawl Stars roster unfortunately fell short in April’s Monthly Qualifier as well, finishing top 24 and therefore missing out on the spot in the Monthly Finals. With Brawl Cup in Berlin happening in May there will not be any Monthly Qualifier next month, so there will be plenty of time to evaluate and come back stronger for June. We have already begun internal discussions with the players to figure out what can be improved and how we can approach next month better.

On the community side, we are hosting a tournament called Metizport Madness #1 on Matcherino, 27th of April. So far 328 teams have signed up, and we are sure it will be a blast!
