After several internal discussions, our Counter-Strike player Adam “adamb” Ångström has decided to explore new opportunities when his contract ends on June 30th.
Adam is the longest standing active player in our line-up, having been part of the team since September 2023 when Metizport announced their all-Swedish investment in the Counter-Strike scene. Under the green banner, Ångström played a vital part in our greatest achievements as an organisation, the most notable ones including becoming Swedish Champions in 2024 after beating NiP 3-0 in Svenska Cupen, a top 4 finish in BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 and IESF World Championship 2024, and of course, not to be forgotten, Metizport making it to the $1,25M BLAST.tv Austin Major in Texas.
Adam is filled with energy and passion and has been one of the more outspoken members of the team. Metizport became the first team in Adam’s professional venture and his dedication took us to heights we could have only dreamt of when we signed him. Now that his contract is about to end and Ångström wishes to explore options on dry land off our boat, we can only be thankful for the time we got to spend together with him and wish him the best of luck in the future. Wherever he goes, we’ll be cheering him on, remembering our greatest memories together. Adam’s name will always be cemented in Metizport, and rightfully so.
With the team attending Glitched Masters 2025 this weekend in Jönköping, a 158,500 SEK LAN tournament, we have reached an agreement with Adam to let him sit out the event, and instead Swedish veteran Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson will stand-in in order to field a complete roster.
Our roster for Glitched will therefore be:
Hampus “hampus” Poser
Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora
Isak “isak” Fahlén
Lucas “L00m1” Haukland
Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson
Ahmed “abdi” Abdi (Head Coach)
