Our Academy team, Metizport X, start the year off with a bang as they receive double invites to prestigious Counter-Strike tournaments – United21 Season 25 (in which we have previously played several seasons in the second division) and European Pro League Season 24, in which we will be competing in Division 2 alongside many notable teams.
Metizport X finished off last season on a relative high – a 2nd place finish in SGL Fall 2024 and an ESEA Main Playoffs spot, where the Swedish-Norwegian squad just barely missed out on qualifying for ESEA Advanced in 2025. However, looking at the season as a whole, our Academy team still had a very successful run, standing on the foundation of having won Good Game-ligaen Fall 2024 and becoming national champions in Norway.
Having clawed their way back from a world ranking of #198 in late October, to now sitting just below 100 at #104, the team has attracted more gazes from bigger online leagues. The news of receiving invites to both United21 and European Pro League came just in time for the new year – in 2025 Metizport X will get a great chance of proving their worth against the bigger teams in the Counter-Strike scene.
We want to thank both United21 and European Pro League for the opportunities!
At the time of publishing this article, Metizport X is 15 minutes away from their first match versus Danish Preasy Esport in their opening Group Stage match in United21 Season 25.
To a great and eventful 2025! #wheregamingmatters
