On Sunday Metizport confidently took down VP.Prodigy with a 2-0 scoreline and qualified for the Playoffs stage in Champions of Champions Tour (CCT)’s 15th tournament of season 3. Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson guided his men to victory on Inferno (13-3) and Ancient (13-11) and secured top 16 in the $50,000 online tournament after a 3-1 score in the Swiss Stage.
In the Round 16-match, to be played tomorrow at 16:00 CET, none other than Swedish rivals Johnny Speeds await Metizport’s Counter-Strike team. It will be an important match to win for the roster ranking-wise, but also to boost the confidence for the squad’s next LAN tournament in Oslo, February 20-21. The tournament is called De_Airport Masters and is an externally hosted Counter-Strike tournament part of the event LANDING: ZONE, a collaboration between Thon Hotels and Metizport. The competition features 14 teams and $8,000 in prize money, and Metizport goes into the clash as the highest seeded team according to the VRS-ranking.

Plopski had a 1.40 rating in the team’s latest CCT match
It will be the second LAN event under Metizport for the likes of David “forsyy” Bílý and Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora since his return from inactivity. If the team stands victorious tomorrow versus Johnny Speeds, they will have to combine the event in Oslo with online play as they continue their run in CCT. However, regardless of the outcome in the $50,000 tournament it will be a weekend full of action for Head Coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak and his forces, with the team traveling back home on Sunday the 22nd, hopefully with a great result in their backpacks.
