On Wednesday Metizport’s Counter-Strike team play their opening game in CCT Season 3 European Series #5.
After some early exits from tournaments the past month, Metizport gets a chance to make up for the poor results in another $50,000 online tournament. Newly acquired In-game leader Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson will lead his men into battle on Wednesday, and their opponent will be none other than 500 Esports, our former player Hampus “hampus” Poser’s new home alongside a majority of Bulgarian players.
Historically, Metizport has played a whole lot of tournaments in the Champions of Champions Tour (CCT for short) curcuit. Already in 2023 our Counter-Strike team had their first notable finish in one of the organizer’s tournaments, ending top 4 and taking home $5,000 in CCT Season 1 East Europe Series #4. In 2024 we had three top-8 finishes and one top-4 finish in Season 2, raking in a total of $11,000.
In 2025 we haven’t had the same success outside of a top 4 finish and $5,000 by the start of the year in Season 2’s 19th European edition. With Season 2 having concluded and Season 3 already five tournaments in, it’s time for Metizport to return to the curcuit after declining three previous invites due to a tight schedule around the BLAST.tv Major in Austin. This time around, the Counter-Strike squad will commence the tournament run in the Group Stage together with teams like Alliance, Tricked Esport, Nexus Gaming and 500 Esports. In the Playoffs even better opposition awaits in the likes of OG, Spirit Academy and ENCE.
As mentioned before, the first match against 500 Esports takes place on Wednesday the 20th of August at 13:00 CEST. You will find the stream for the match under the “Matches” tab here on the website!
