After a week-long break, Counter-Strike in-game leader hampus and Head Coach abdi will lead their men through two tournaments this weekend.
This Saturday two tournaments commence for our main Counter-Strike team – Galaxy Battle 2025 Phase 1 and Svenska CS-ligan 2025. The first one is a $50,000 online tournament featuring teams such as ENCE, NaVi Junior, TEAM NEXT LEVEL, Nexus and 9INE among some, and Metizport has received a direct invite to the Single-Elimination 16-team Playoffs. The opening match will happen at 13:30 CEST against Russian CYBERSHOKE Esports.
Metizport found success in the previous Galaxy Battle tournament, Galaxy Battle 2025 Starter, making it all the way to the Grand Finals where Ahmed “abdi” Abdi’s countrymen failed to hold back Aurora Gaming, finishing 2nd and taking home $6,000. In the current Galaxy Battle tournament, teams winning their initial game will have at least one full day of rest in before the quarter-final game happening on either Monday the 28th or Tuesday the 29th.
On top of the $50,000 online tournament, Metizport will also play Svenska CS-ligan 2025, the online qualifier for offline tournament $100,000 Nordic Championship in May. The qualifier consists of eight teams, four of which have been invited via the VRS ranking, and four of which have qualified through open online qualifiers.

The teams attending Svenska CS-ligan 2025
Metizport will play in Group A together with Lilmix, Viperio and Northern Lights, with their first match starting on the 26th, 16:00 CEST against Viperio. Group B will consist of Johnny Speeds, megoshort, EYEBALLERS and Alliance. The top two teams from each group will make it to the Playoffs, or the Play-In Stage. From there, the two teams that win their matches will qualify to the LAN event in Vaasa, Finland, This means that Metizport are three matches away from securing their spot in Finland next month!
