In front of a packed arena at SpillExpo, Metizport and Infurity faced off in a thrilling battle for the championship title in the Good Game League – Norway’s official Counter-Strike league.
After two intense maps, filled with nail-biting rounds and non-stop excitement, Metizport emerged victorious with an impressive 2-0 sweep, proudly claiming the title of Norway’s best Counter-Strike team.
Strong Start for Metizport
Metizport displayed top-notch skill from the start, taking control on their map pick, Vertigo. Though Infurity initially led 4-1, Metizport quickly turned the tide with seven consecutive rounds, dominating the t-side. At the side switch, they held a comfortable 8-4 lead, and Infurity struggled to counter their precise plays and strategic teamwork. Metizport closed Vertigo with a commanding 13-5 win.
Thriller on Inferno
As the final moved to Inferno, it became a different kind of showdown. This time, the match was incredibly close – an intense experience for the crowd, witnessing the best Norwegian Counter-Strike had to offer.
Round by round, the teams stayed neck-and-neck, with players from both sides showcasing sharp shots, strategic plays, and thrilling highlights that brought the crowd to their feet. With the score tied at 12-12, the game went into overtime, underscoring just how evenly matched these two top teams were. But Metizport’s composure and experience shone through, ultimately securing the win at 16-13. For the first time, Metizport can now proudly call themselves the Norwegian Counter-Strike Champions!
