Metizport and nawwk to part ways at December’s end
December 9, 2025

Metizport and Tim “nawwk” Jonasson will not continue in 2026.

Metizport and Tim “nawwk” Jonasson have agreed to not move forward with a long-term commitment for the 2026 season. The 28-year-old Swede came in on a short-term basis in the last week of October, replacing Lucas “L00m1” Haukland on the sniper position. The team had struggled massively for the majority of the fall season, skydiving on the global ranking and finding limited flow attending offline tournaments in Europe and North America.

nawwk then became part of Metizport amidst the new push that was introduced in October, when we made it official that our Counter-Strike team is going international and setting sights on looking outside of Sweden for new players. Jonasson entered Metizport together with Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic, who joined on a loan from Partizan Esports, also on a short-term basis until the end of the year. The new Head Coach, Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak, was announced a week later and together with nawwk and Dragon they marked a significant shift in the project’s approach.

As part of the “new push” to regain a more favorable position on the VRS ranking, nawwk and the team headed to three LAN tournaments in Sweden in November – JOURNEY 2025, Svenska Cupen 2025 and DreamHack Knockout Stockholm 2025 – and thanks to great results they climbed 50 spots on the ranking, now sitting on 75th as the year is coming to an end. nawwk played a big role in the team’s performance especially at Svenska Cupen 2025, where Metizport claimed the silver medal after beating megoshort and Johnny Speeds before falling to Alliance in the Grand Finals. The Swede brought experience, professionalism and a positive energy to the squad, relighting the fire and bringing an X-factor to the team’s AWP position.

As an organization, Metizport now enters a rebuilding phase. The fall season of 2025 was a big challenge and overall didn’t meet our standards when it comes to performance; we were forced to make necessary adjustments and faced unforeseen circumstances within the roster, combining to decimate the good results both online and offline. Despite all of this we are a hundred percent committed to getting back to where we belong, competing at a high level and once again becoming part of the Major cycle in 2026.

nawwk will remain under contract with Metizport until the end of the year, but the search for a new AWPer has already begun. As 2026 starts, we hope to enter the new year with a great formula and continue the climb that commenced last month. The remainder of December will be used to make sure we can find this balance in the squad and deliver high-level performances next year.

A massive thanks to nawwk, who in short time made a great mark and took part in one of Metizport’s more notable achievements in Counter-Strike – the silver medal in Svenska Cupen 2025. Despite a very brief stint under our banner, he will always be a part of the family and our history in the world of Counter-Strike.
