The opening day in ESL Challenger started off a bit rocky for Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak and the boys, finding themselves in a deficit in the first match against DONSTU. Being down 5-11 on the first map of Anubis, they were able to string together a full comeback, secured overtime, and then ran off with the match 16-14. Liam “MaiL09” Tügel was on top at the end of the map with a 1.31 rating.
On the second map of Nuke, it was instead Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez who led the troops, as Metizport Epicbet quickly pushed the Russian opposition aside with a 13-3 score, Gonzalez finishing the map with a 1.69 rating.
In the second match of the day versus another Russian squad, this time SPARTA Esports, it was a little bit more back and forth. The first map of Mirage went our way, 13-10, but the second map slipped out of the team’s hands and finished 6-13. On the third and final Decider map of Inferno, however, MaiL09 once again stepped up to the task and led the roster to victory as they responded back with a 13-6 win, the Swedish youngster finishing with a 1.48 rating. Overall in the entire series, Tügel boasted a 1.56 rating, with Maciej “F1KU” Miklas, the second best player for Metizport Epicbet in the series, walked home with a rating of 1.05.
