Metizport’s Liam “MaiL09” Tügel is once again in the spotlight, this time appearing in the “Top 50 Prospects of Season One 2025” list by HLTV, the biggest Counter-Strike news and statistics platform in the world.

The 16-year-old ranks 31st on the 50-player list worldwide for the first season of 2025. The parameters were simple: players had to be under 21 years of age, and had to have played fewer than a certain number of official maps on HLTV depending on the player’s age.

The prospect list is meant to “be a place for the up-and-comers, the players due a step up to tier-one but not quite there yet, while also giving enough of a margin for players who are making the jump but are not yet established at the top.”

In the end, a majority of the players in the list are from the EU region (37) with four players from Sweden appearing on the list. MaiL09 ranks as the second best Swedish player, with former Metizport member Adam “adamb” Ångström claiming the first place at place #24.

What’s more outstanding is the fact that only three 16-year-olds appear on the list – MaiL09, Swedish Meinz and Lithuanian dziugss. This ranks MaiL09, if you follow this prospect list, as the most promising 16-year-old in the world for the first season of 2025.
