Jackinho returns to Metizport to complete Counter-Strike roster
July 9, 2025
Finalizing our Counter-Strike squad, after MaiL09 was announced as the team’s new fourth member, is Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson, who will be stepping in as the new In-game leader.
For those who have been following Metizport for a while, you’ll likely remember Jackinho. Yes, it’s not Jack’s first time under the green banner – the 26-year-old was part of our first international Counter-Strike investment with a full-Swedish roster back in 2023, teaming up with adamb, nilo, hns, RuStY and abdi in the roster.
Jackinho was then part of the team for eleven months until August 2024, helping the squad reach one of Metizport’s most notable international achievements – a top 4 finish in BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, beating teams such as Falcons and Monte as well as taking a map off Team Spirit in the semi-finals, cashing in on $12,500.
The 26-year-old took some time off playing after leaving Metizport, and it wasn’t until the start of 2025 that he returned to active duty in Copenhagen Wolves, where he stayed for five months. He also appeared as a stand-in for Johnny Speeds a mere three weeks ago, playing his part in the organization securing a gold medal in Svenska Elitserien Spring 2025.

Historically, Jack has also had international ventures such as in fnatic back in 2021, so there is no doubt the Swede has experience in the high leagues of Counter-Strike. As we were looking at rebuilding our line-up after the departure of hampus and adamb, our primary intention was to continue on the full-Swedish track. We needed an In-game leader with experience and composure, as well as one who could bring a little extra spirit to the team. We knew Jack was a free agent and that he was hungry to continue his career, and since we already had experience working with him from before, it quickly became one of the most viable options for us.
In the end, as the acquisition of MaiL09 became a fact, Jackinho was deemed a very natural last piece of the puzzle. The most positive thing is that he’s already comfortable in the organization. He doesn’t need much introduction to our visions and strategies. He’s been here before, and now he’s back, jumping straight into action with the team.
Exactly what we need, as a busy fall season stands before us.
We are so happy to have you back, Jack. Welcome home!
