hampus leaves Metizport after buyout from 500 Esports
July 24, 2025
As of today it is official that Hampus “hampus” Poser, our former Counter-Strike In-Game leader, leaves Metizport after a month on the bench.
The 26-year-old has been acquired by 500 Esports, an entity that showed interest for the Swede early on and whom we have been working with towards a transfer until now. 500 Esports have not yet announced their full line-up, but with the acquisition of Poser, the team is likely aiming for an international project for the fall season as there are three Bulgarians lined up and ready for the revamped roster.
Hampus was secured by Metizport in January, leaving his previous organization of BLEED, and took on the role of In-Game leader, replacing Casper “SHiNE” Wennerberg. He was part of our revamped 2025 roster, with Isak “isak” Fahlén joining him after a buyout from Ninjas in Pyjamas. Together the roster, under Poser’s rule, had many notable attendances both online and offline.
Hampus helped the team pull in over $25,000 in prize earnings to Metizport in various competitions. Despite up-and-down results, Poser and the team showed good form several times during their tenure together – in April they were only a few rounds away from qualifying to PGL Astana 2025 over Ninjas in Pyjamas, having plowed all the way through the unforgiving online qualifier to the Grand Finals. The same month they had an incredible feat in the Major Regional Qualifiers, taking down Danish Astralis to secure a spot in the $1,250,000 BLAST.tv Major in Austin, which became historical not only for the organization but also for Swedish Counter-Strike, as the team became the first full-Swedish roster to attend a Major since 2019.

We made the decision to move hampus to the bench in late June, as well as allowing Adam “adamb” Ångström to explore other opportunities as his contract with us was ending at the end of the month. The decision to move the two of them away from the starting roster came after a resolution to rethink our strategy and explore new directions for the team in preparation for the fall season. As Adam officially left Metizport, Hampus stayed on the bench into July, but it wasn’t long until 500 Esports showed a serious interest for the four-time Major attendant. Today we can happily say the transfer agreement for the Swede has been signed – 500 has officially purchased hampus.
A big thanks to Hampus for his time in Metizport and for the hard work he put in under the green banner. We hope he will find good footing with his new crew and wish him all the best going forward. We’re happy to have been the home for one of Sweden’s most prominent players in modern Counter-Strike!
