As of today, we are announcing that our rifler, Linus ‘nilo’ Bergman, has been released from Metizport. We thank him for his dedication and contributions during his time with us and wish him the best in his future endeavors. We have been in ongoing discussions with the player and his representative regarding a contract extension, as we view him as an important part of our project. However, in the end, he decided to take a different path.
“Linus joined Metizport during a pivotal moment as we transitioned away from Norwegian Counter-Strike into a new chapter for the organization. Throughout his time with us, he believed in our vision and contributed to what we were building. While we wanted him to stay, we all agreed this was the right time for him to take the next step in his career. I’m incredibly grateful to have worked with Linus and hope he’s gained valuable experience here that he’ll carry forward in esports and beyond. Best of luck, Linus, I’m proud to have worked with you.”
Linus has been with Metizport for a year and a half and has played an instrumental role in the team’s success, helping Metizport become national champions by winning the Svenska Cupen 2024 with a dominant 3-0 victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The 19-year-old Swede also contributed significantly to the squad’s strong performances, including a top 4 finish in the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024 and a top 4 finish at the IESF World Esports Championship 2024.
