Today it’s official that we have signed a new player for our Valorant roster: Nikolas “Czester” Żarów!
The 19-year-old Polish player, who has previously played for Szach Mat and GoNext Esports, will replace Burak “Burzzy” Özveren in the active roster. The decision to replace Özveren comes after a time of evaluation around the team dynamic and the foundation for the international squad going forward, and it was decided that it was the best move going forward. Head Coach Tobias “ShadoW” Flodström began the tryout process for replacements around a month ago together with the remaining four players, testing many different individuals and their qualities both inside and outside the server. In the end, after only a short time together with the team, Flodström was convinced Czester was the missing piece the squad had been searching for.
After a disappointing loss in Stage 2 of VALORANT Challengers, Metizport’s Valorant roster now stands before an offline tournament in Jönköping taking place June 14-15 – 100,000 SEK Glitched Invitational 2025, where they hope to make a sufficient mark and get well-needed tournament practice with Czester before Stage 3 of Challengers starts in the beginning of July. A bootcamp at Alliance’s headquarters in Göteborg is also planned after the LAN event to further strengthen the strategy book prior to the next Stage, which holds great importance to both the team and the organisation – a good placement and a qualification to Challengers EMEA is vital for a spot in Ascension later this year, the team’s major goal.
Czester has already settled nicely with the team, and this week marks the first practice week with Żarów as an official player of Metizport.
As for Burak “burzzy” Özveren, he will be placed on a transfer list, and any inquiries regarding the Turkish player can be sent to Sports Director Morten Vollan Christensen on morten@metizport.com. We want to thank burzzy for his time as an active player in the team. Under the Metizport flag, he notably helped his men secure a top 4 finish in Stage 1 of Challengers NORTH//EAST, taking home €900.
With the addition of Czester, our current active Valorant roster looks as follows:
