23-year-old Maciej “F1KU” Miklas joined Metizport’s Counter-Strike division in May this year, and has since been an instrumental piece to the roster, a firm and energy-filled youngster with years of experience. Miklas started off in the national scene in Poland, and then moved on to international projects in OG, Wildcard and ENCE, where he gained tons of experience in the tier1 ecosystem.
Now Maciej is almost at his 6-month mark in Metizport Epicbet and has already helped the team toward three gold medals – two online and one on LAN – the latest being the team’s triumph in Prague two weeks ago as they raised the trophy at Tipsport Open Cup. We sat down for a brief talk with the Pole to get some more insight into how he has experienced his run in the team so far.
Hello Maciej! You officially joined Metizport in May this year. How has it been so far for you? What is the most memorable moment for you?
There has been some ups and downs, but overall very positive. My most memorable moment is probably winning the LAN in Prague, or insta-losing in Porto, haha.
Last weekend you raised the trophy at Tipsport Open Cup in Prague. What does this win mean for the team, and yourself?
I think it’s a great confidence boost, especially for forsyy and MaiL09. It showed that we can play well, so it’s just matter of being capable to move it to better LAN events. For me personally it’s also a very good sign that we managed to win because it just proves that we are improving tournament by tournament and that we are on a good path. We just need to keep a foot on the gas.

After the summer break, MaiL09 was reinstated into the lineup. How has it been for you to play with him so far? Has anything changed for you on the server?
In the beginning it was a little complicated. Things inside the server also changed a lot, but with time we got to know each other better and it’s looking promising.
The team has had some good results lately, and are now ranked 48th in the world. What is the goal for you guys for the rest of the season?
To maintain the ranking. Maybe also get a bit closer to top 30.
Being a professional player in CS is obviously a lot of work, and often comes with really tough schedules with a lot of traveling, etc. What do you do to keep your performance and well-being up during peak-periods?
I spend my time with my familiy & friends in all kind of activites. Everything from just walking with my dog, partying, going out to eat, just watching some random things at home… It’s just very important that it’s with friends & family.
