Our new Counter-Strike roster’s debut on LAN ended with a top 8 finish, losing in the quarterfinals to Alliance – Liam “MaiL09” Tügel’s new home for the season – after a real nailbiter on the first map. It was a bittersweet defeat for our boys, who was hoping to kickstart the season as a new squad in Norrköping.
However, everyone in the team agrees it was a necessary blow in order to highlight the structural challenges the roster has, which was also illustrated on the 10-day bootcamp Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak and the team went through in Metizport’s headquarters right before the LAN tournament. From the start of the stay in Myrvåg, the 27-year-old Head Coach made it clear that the time was going to be spent luring out the cracks in the foundation, so that they can be fixed more efficiently.
The next offline event for Metizport will be in roughly a month, taking place in Oslo in the form of $10,000 “De_airport Masters”. The squad now rests, some of them still traveling home as this article is released, but already tomorrow the online competition catches up to them again in CCT S3 EU #14, with $50,000 up for grabs, and on Wednesday the crew gathers once again to play their decider group stage match in $20,000 European Pro League Series 4.

vinS stayed in Norrköping an extra day together with forsyy, Dragon & ner0 to play the opening match in CCT from the venue
The pursuit of climbing the global ranking has not changed, and therefore team captain Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson and his men will see plenty of action the upcoming months. It will be a busy spring season, but a very interesting one at that! Stay tuned!
