Update on Plopski & MaiL09
December 31, 2025

Today we are pleased to confirm that Plopski will be returning to the active Counter-Strike line-up, effective immediately.

23-year-old Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora has been part of Metizport since May 2024, helping Metizport to feats such as winning Svenska Cupen 2024 and making it to the BLAST.tv Austin Major in April this year. In late October this year, Nicolas stepped away from competition to focus on his well-being, with Nikola “Dragon” Boskovic coming into the team on loan to step into his shoes.

After taking the time needed and now feeling ready to get back on the server again, we believe Plopski’s return best aligns with our competitive approach and goals moving forward. As a result, Plopski will be moved back into the starting Counter-Strike line-up.

With Dragon having been acquired permanently to Metizport, it will be Liam “MaiL09” Tügel moving to a rotational role in the roster for the time being. Liam joined us during the summer after being acquired from Swedish organization Johnny Speeds and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top talents.

Liam’s potential is unquestioned by us. But with our evolving structure and role requirements, it has been challenging to consistently place him in a position that fully utilizes his strengths.

This decision is not a reflection of MaiL09’s long-term value to the team, nor does it mark the end of his journey with us. He remains an active part of the team as we explore the best path forward, with a primary focus on creating the best environment for him to continue developing and competing for a place in the lineup, while remaining open to options such as a loan or transfer if they serve that goal.

2025 has been a great year, let’s make 2026 even better!
