No doors were left open for the opponents in Metizport’s semifinal match of 300,000 SEK (~$31,903) Svenska Cupen 2025, and the new roster led by Polish coach Vincent “vinS” Jozefiak swept aside Johnny Speeds, the other semifinalist team, with ease in two maps.
The match was set to take place on Inferno, Mirage and Nuke as a decider, but in order to get the job done and advance to the Grand Finals tomorrow Metizport only needed the first two maps. On Inferno the Swedish-Serbian roster started off incredibly strong on the attacking side, dismantling the CT-side the first six rounds and building a stable economy. However, Johnny Speeds managed to pull themselves back and finished the first half with 5 rounds to Metizport’s 7. In the second half however, Metizport’s defense on the map was impenetrable, much thanks to Isak “isak” Fahlén’s consistent punishment to any enemies daring enough to come close. The opposing team only managed to scramble together one single round on the attacking side, and Fahlén’s squad finished the map 13-6.

On the second map of Mirage, which was Johnny Speeds’s pick, we had a similarly dominant first half. Liam “MaiL09” Tügel wrapped behind the enemy and secured three frags for himself in the pistol round, setting the pace for the entire game. With an especially stable performance from the new AWPer Tim “nawwk” Jonasson, Metizport closed out the first half 9-3. As the teams switched sides Johnny Speeds seemed to slowly find their way back into the game by winning the pistol and the two following rounds, but at the 9-6 mark In-game leader Jackinho had seemingly had enough and took matters into his own hands as he slipped past through middle and onto the short-side of B, where he found two easy frags on the unsuspecting defense. After that, with a persistent nawwk refusing to back down in front, Metizport were able to keep control over the game and climb up to 13 rounds and a series win, punching in their ticket to tomorrow’s Grand Final.

The other semifinals are still being played between Alliance and EYEBALLERS, and Metizport will play the winner in that matchup. In an interview on the stage after the victory, Jackinho stated he wanted to play Alliance to “get revenge”, as Alliance knocked his team down into the decider game in the Group Stage two days ago.
The Grand Finals will commence at 18:00 CET tomorrow. The winner will secure 150,000 SEK, a little over $15,950. For the runner-up, the prize will be 70,000 SEK or ~$7,444.
