The 16-year-old has reached an ELO of over 5,400 after a hefty streak of fourteen wins last week and an 85% win ratio the last 20 matches, which has helped him gain a massive lead over the second best player on the leaderboard, h4rn, who’s currently sitting on 5,052 ELO.
Looking at the gap between MaiL09 and h4rn, the Swede is ahead with 363 points. Under Tügel the gaps between players are a lot tighter; one match lost or won can change your position on the ranking. But for Liam, the #1 spot seems untouchable by anyone else at least for a while.
In terms of Swedish players on the FACEIT leaderboard, heavily dominated by players from the CIS-region, the youngster is the only Swede within the top 40-vicinity, with EYEBALLERS’ bobeksde sitting on 40th followed by draken on 73rd, Liam’s former teammate in Johnny Speeds.
MaiL09 has previously been highlighted by FACEIT after being the highest ranked in September as well as becoming a triple champion in FACEIT Pro League. Now he’s back in the spotlight.
