Yesterday it was announced that Metizport has received an invite to Svenska Cupen 2025, a 300,000 SEK ($31,719 USD) offline tournament in Stockholm, Sweden.
The format for Svenska Cupen, essentially the “Swedish National Championships”, sees the four highest ranked Swedish teams on the VRS-ranking receive a direct invite to the LAN event, while the next four get an invite to the Closed Online Qualifiers. In the Closed Qualifier, an additional four teams from two Open Qualifiers will clash with the already four invited.
But teams EYEBALLERS, Johnny Speeds and Alliance, along with Metizport, won’t need to play any qualification games, as they are all set to start their run in the tournament directly at the Offline finals on November 12-15.
Svenska Cupen is an important tournament for Metizport and our history, as we won last year’s edition after a confident 3-0 victory against Ninjas in Pyjamas. While we will be attending this year with a different line-up, we’re looking forward to defend our title as Sweden’s best Counter-Strike team.

As mentioned before, Svenska Cupen begins November 12 and runs until November 15. Before the LAN in Stockholm, Metizport will travel to the ski resort Åre to attend JOURNEY 2025 at RedBull Gibaway, November 7-8. After Svenska Cupen, it will be less than a month before we head out again to the same city to show up at DreamHack Knockout 2025.
The Counter-Strike team is almost exclusively focusing on Offline tournaments at the moment, with only one online tournament, Winline Insight Season 9, starting next week as a confidence booster for JOURNEY 2025. With three LAN events coming up in November, the chances of climbing the global rankings are looking great!
