July 29, 2025
Metizport’s VALORANT team has proceeded to top 6 in VALORANT Challengers 2025 NORTH//EAST after a 2-1 victory against FULL BOX 200 yesterday.
The matchup versus Polish team FULL BOX 200 in the Playoffs of the €15,000 tournament was played out on three maps – Lotus, Haven and Bind. On the first map of Lotus Metizport had an uphill battle all the way, with the first half finishing 7-5 in favor of the opponents after a lost pistol round from Metizport. In the second half as attackers, the pistol round came down to a 1v1 afterplant situation, but that slipped out of the squad’s hands as well. However, a victorious force round saw Mathias “SEIDER” Seider and his men come back into the game, pulling the score back to 7-8. In spite of clutch rounds being taken by both Nikolas “Czester” Zarow and Elric “juseu” Belland, FULL BOX 200 were simply too persistent and held their defenses until they secured the 13th round, finishing the match with a 13-9 score.
Despite clutching out a 1v2 afterplant at the 7-9 mark, Czester and the team were unable to run away with Lotus
In the second map of Haven Metizport lost the opening pistol round, but once again managed to string together a force-round win to get the ball rolling. They finished the first half as attackers with a 7-5 score and went on to the defending side, where they turned the tables and won the pistol round. And from there it was smooth sailing up until the 12-6 mark, where FULL BOX 200 managed to steal away three rounds to make it 12-9. But SEIDER kept the team composed and the European squad could run off with the last round, equalizing the score in the best-of-three series.
On the third map of Bind, it became clear Metizport didn’t want to waste any time – the map finished 13-5, but there were several close rounds in the first half of the clash. At the 4-3 mark, SEIDER and shinnok clutched out a 2v5 round on bombsite B, denying the Poles a fourth round on the board. Two rounds later at 6-3, aNguiSt and SEIDER managed to turn around a 2v4 round, with a 3k from aNguiSt. The following round, at 7-3, shinnok single-handedly won a 1v3 afterplant situation with an Outlaw.
Starting the second half off with 9 rounds, Metizport comfortably won the pistol on the defending side as well. From there it was a walk in the park as the opposing side only managed to gather two rounds before falling flat, and Metizport could sweep aside their first opposition in the Lower Bracket, eliminating them from the tournament. Summarizing the three-map victory, Hungarian 17-year-old Viktor Zsombor “shinnok” Maglóczki became the clear MVP in the team with 53 frags and an ACS of 226. He had 11 more frags than the second best player in the squad, Czester.
The guys have now proceeded to top 6 in the competition, and they need one more win in order to secure their spot in Challengers EMEA, an essential tournament for them if they want to make it to Ascension later this year. Head Coach Tobias “ShadoW” Flodström will prepare his men for the next battle on Saturday, when the crew will stand before the loser of Enterprise Esports and Team Liquid Academy.
